WSJ: Microsoft acquires 6Wunderkinder, the company behind popular to-do list app Wunderlist

Wunderlist may now be a Microsoft property.
Microsoft has reportedly agreed to purchase 6Wunderkinder, the company responsible for Wunderlist. The Wall Street Journal — citing people familiar with the deal — say the final purchase price was between $100 and $200 million.
Wunderlist is a popular cross-platform to-do list app which syncs across devices. The service dovetails nicely with Microsoft’s ambitions of being a services provider for mobile enterprise.
It’s not clear how Microsoft plans to situate Wunderlist in with its other suite of products, but there could be a re-branding effort. After purchasing Acompli, Microsoft rebranded it as Outlook for Mobile.
Microsoft also purchased Sunrise Atelier, maker of the popular calendar app Sunrise, earlier this year.
We’ve reached out to both 6Wunderkinder and Microsoft for comment, and will update this article should we hear back.
