Facebook is about to ramp up the number of Instant Articles on your feed

Get ready to see a lot more news on your Facebook feed.
After announcing Instant Articles back in May – stories that load natively through Facebook’s iPhone app – Facebook published a few trial pieces before going through a quiet period without anything new as it prepared for a greater rollout.
According to a report by the Wall Street Journal, that ramp up will happen in the coming days, with The New York Times set to publish around 30 articles per day and The Atlantic making most of its content available through the platform.
NBC, meanwhile will post 30 to 40 articles a day, while BuzzFeed wants to publish “as much content as possible.”
The main idea with Instant Articles is to get as many eyes on the news as possible, as quickly as possible. So many people get their news from social media nowadays that it only makes sense.
For now, however, Instant Articles are only available on iOS – other platforms are expected to follow soon.
There’s no exact date for when the rollout will begin, but the WSJ says both The New York Times and The Atlantic are ready to start publishing tomorrow, but are waiting for Facebook to give them the go ahead.
