Microsoft reportedly acquires cloud security firm Adallom for $320 million

Microsoft has reportedly acquired an Israeli data security firm namedAdallom for $320 million.

The news comes from both Calcalist and Globes, two Israeli business publications. According to the reports, Microsoft is also going to open a cybersecurity operation in Israel.

Adallom concentrates on securing data stored in the cloud, and seems to focus on enterprise solutions ahead of consumer-facing products. From its website:

Adallom’s website doesn’t mention it has been acquired, and we’ve reached out to both Microsoft and Adallom for comment. We’ll update this article should we hear from either company.
